Who We Are

The Yerington AI Governance Initiative is a community-based effort, not a government agency. It was created to help Mason Valley thoughtfully navigate emerging technologies. We bring together residents, educators, businesses, public servants, and industry partners to talk openly, learn together, and collaborate around artificial intelligence, automation, robotics, and related technologies, without hype, fear, or shortcuts. Our work is grounded in local context, accountability, and long-term public trust, supporting innovation while respecting the culture, values, and resilience that define our community. We are here to listen, discuss, teach, learn, and build responsibly alongside the people and institutions shaping Mason Valley’s future.

What We Do

Our work focuses on practical, community-centered engagement with emerging technologies as they begin to affect everyday life in Mason Valley. We create space for education, discussion, and collaboration around artificial intelligence, automation, robotics, and related systems, so residents, organizations, and public institutions can make informed decisions without pressure, hype, or unnecessary risk.

We are here to listen, discuss, teach, learn, and build responsibly: alongside the people and institutions already shaping Mason Valley’s future. Our goal is not to move faster than the community, but to move forward together, with care, clarity, and respect for the place we call home.
